Our Leadership

Kavita was born in Canada, grew up in California and has recently settled in Santa Cruz County.

Kavita was raised in a traditional Indian family as a Hindu.  With an extreme focus on academics, she excelled in school and was able to graduate with her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University at the age of 18.  Early in her career, she was introduced to Jesus in a Bible Study at her workplace.  There, after learning about Jesus’ love and forgiveness, she became a Christian and her life was transformed.  She worked in Silicon Valley for 30+ years, and raised 3 beautiful children before moving to Santa Cruz and focusing her efforts on promoting recreational sports for adults.  She enjoys the natural beauty of Santa Cruz and loves the forests and beaches.  She is a big advocate of fitness and you will often find her on the local tennis courts.
