Our Leadership

Born and raised in Santa Cruz, Karen is a native through and through. 

Her father was a local pastor for 19 years so she is familiar with all things church related. As a graduate from Aurora University, in Aurora, Illinois, with a double major in Writing & Language and Christian Studies she has a passion for words. Karen has been part of the Vintage Faith Church community for over a decade and has served in many ways. She currently serves with our Kids Ministry “behind the scenes” pouring love, detail, and care into weekly prep and loves being on mission with the team.

She is passionate about the VFC community and the emphasis on study as part of our mission, as well as the creative approach to worship and mission that Vintage has. Karen is a voracious and eclectic reader (both fiction and nonfiction). The color pink brings her joy as do jigsaw puzzles, and swimming. On Saturday or Sunday afternoons you can frequently find her enjoying live theatre, especially Broadway musicals!
