Josh gives oversight to the staff and leadership development of the church, serving with the Leadership Council to help to guide larger decisions of the church. He also helps oversee the budget and many other daily aspects of church life. Josh also supports the music ministries and is known to laugh, speak, and sing with an exceptionally loud voice.
Josh was raised in Humboldt County, California amidst spooky fog and giant redwoods, where he learned the art of worship leading young. His mother would strum her twelve-string guitar and sing love songs to God at night, while his father, who couldn’t stay on key to save his life, belted out praise choruses during house church worship sessions.
When Josh was nineteen years old, he began leading worship with a high school ministry in San Diego. He couldn’t quite sing and play guitar at the same time, a fact which led to some train wreck worship sets. He later moved north and began leading worship for the youth of Santa Cruz Bible Church where he teamed in ministry with Dan Kimball.
Josh was part of the high school ministry on staff at Santa Cruz Bible Church for five years before starting the Graceland worship services with Dan and serving as the Graceland worship leader. Six years later, Santa Cruz Bible would plant its first church, and Josh helped launch the new church with Dan, which is called Vintage Faith.
Josh has released multiple worship albums, has led worship at camps and conferences across the country, including YS National Youth Workers Convention, Zondervan National Pastor’s Convention, and has served with Brian Doerksen, David Crowder, and other gifted songwriters and worship leaders. www.joshfoxmusic.com
Josh graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in English Literature, and has a Masters Degree from Western Seminary.
Josh is married to an amazing woman named Danielle who is a gifted artist and leader. They have a wild puppy named Daisy and a small row boat that they like to float around the harbor in. Josh also enjoys
playing music in clubs and coffee houses, surfing, and hanging out with friends at the Red Room. Josh has four incredible brothers.
