Our Leadership

John hails from rural Scio, Oregon (a place he refers to as the ‘sticks’).

After a failed attempt at Esthiology, he did a three year chef apprenticeship under a Greek Egyptian chef. He and his lovely wife, Leah have been married for almost 20 years and together they have three girls - Nevaeh, Jasmine and Ruby and a spoiled puppy, Nova.

John and his family have been part of Vintage for quite some time and he is excited to be part of a team that loves God and loves people, and he is really excited to help create community in The Abbey!

His favorite thing to do is travel and experience different cultures. When not traveling he loves to go to San Jose and explore restaurants from around the world. His family jokes that he is a walking encyclopedia and has an obscene number of cookbooks and theology books. When he has free time, you can catch him collecting teas, playing board games, and listening to records.
